Why 5F?
While anyone can journal, 5F offers a practical approach to identifying 5 elements in each day. Allowing this focus, helps us see our surroundings and feel the weight of each day. Did you truly invest in your time with your family? How did you meet your fitness goal? Were you intentional with your time alone with God? Putting honest answers on paper sets a tone in your life that makes each step worth the journey. Try 5F for 50 days and see how you transform the life God intended for you!
My Journey
There’s an old survival saying: “It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you out – it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.” For me, this is where my journey stands with so many. Daily obligations were the pebbles in my shoe, leaving little room for renewal. The cycle of being present with those I loved, daily exercising, the work grind, fiscally preparing meals, and continuous cleaning created ordinary obligations that slowly overshadowed moments of joy, often feeling as though life was simply flowing around me, rather than me actively shaping its course.
The 5F Intentional Living Field Guide was the practical tool I needed to refine daily commitments and see them as surrounding opportunities. I began to reflect on my actions. When dropping off my children, was I truly engaging with them or passively responding so I could focus on my day? At work, was I genuinely connecting with my colleagues or racing to my next task needing completion? Was I choosing a budget-friendly homemade meal or the quick, unhealthy (and generally more expensive) fast-food option? These seemingly minor decisions, when approached with intention, become like seeds planted in fertile soil—small yet significant victories that empower growth not just to endure the day, but to thrive within it.
If any of this sounds like you, I encourage you to give 5F a walk in your life to better see the world around you and how you have every day opportunities to shape it!
